About Our New Look Every Tuesday, we give the pages of our print edition the final once-over before sending them off to the printer. And as often happens when a lot of creative minds are in one place, a new consensus came to form a few weeks ago. We needed a makeover. The section headers that we thought looked cool five years ago now looked, well, five years out of date, especially given our redesigned (and we dare say, very cool) Web site. All of us brainstormed on how best to make the pages look more inviting, and our master design team -- New Media Manager Ian Kim and Associate Arts Editor Calvin Liu -- made it happen. The new fronts are designed to make the page pleasing to look at, and they work better with new graphical elements that add to the major topics that we write about, and that point readers to related stories elsewhere in Asianweek. Wed like to know what you think. E-mail Kim at support@asianweek.com or Liu at arts@asianweek.com. |
