Emil Amok: Debut on the Big Screen

Ready for your screen test?

Ang Lee’s Oscar-nominated film is changing the white blankness of moviedom, and putting Asian faces on the big screen in a big way.

If money makes the world go round, check out the box office figures. After four weeks, the Crouch is no slouch. It’s fourth in the top ten, with a $5.4 million dollar week. That gives the film a 10-week total of $60.3 million, making the Crouch the highest grossing foreign language film in the U.S. ever.

More than Life is Beautiful.

More than all those Johnny Yune films. (Anyone for a private screening of My Name is Bruce?)

Lead Editorial:
Hit Return to Send (Some Love)

Welcome to the 21st Century. Technology has infiltrated every layer of our lives and we seem to have adapted to it quite well. Ask yourself these questions: When was the last time you played solitaire with a real set of cards? Do you email your co-worker who sits directly next to you? Do you find yourself chatting with anonymous strangers on the Internet but you have never spoken to your next door neighbor?

The Internet has fully enabled the global village. Stories of on-line romances are more common than people who don’t own a cellular phone.
