In Search of YWCA Home Movies
Lowedown Productions is looking for audio and visual materials to include in a short video for the new Chinese Historical Society of America museum. It will document the role of the YWCA in San Franciscos Chinatown from 1916 to 1995. We are looking for sound recordings and moving images in film or video related to YWCA activities. These may be home movies of Y-sponsored dances, performances, classes, choral group recitals or recreational activities or newsclips. In addition, we are also seeking footage of women and kids walking or playing around Chinatown during the same time period. If you have or know of any such materials, please contact Felicia Lowe or Sue Chen at 415-824-4555.
