Official Observance
There will be a 102-minute ceremony at Ground Zero beginning at 8:46 a.m., the time the first plane hit, with a moment of silence. Former mayor Rudolph Guiliani will start the reading of names which will be continued by family members and others. The ceremony will end at 10:29 a.m. with houses of worship across the nation being asked to toll their bells.

Harlem 9/11 Remembrance Teach-in for Global Peace and Justice
Presentations by a diverse panel of Third World activists on why and how we must unite to fight against neo-liberal globalization and organize against the war the Bush administration is pushing in the name of 9/11 victims.

The public is invited to sign the commemorative book throughout the day in request of the Honorable Mayor Willie Brown, Jr., which will be sent to the New York Memorial on behalf of the citizens of San Francisco.

Autumn Moon Festival Parade
The Chinese community will recognize the one year anniversary of Sept. 11 by a commemotative opening parade. Money raised at the festival will be sent in support of New York citys Chinatown.

Tribute to the victims of the Sept. 11 attack on the Pentagon with commemorative remarks and performances by Mohammed Ali, Roberta Flack, Randy Travis and 21 Olympic medallists.
