Connie King (“Locke ‘Mayor’ Connie King Celebrates Her 82nd Birthday,” March 17) was originally named Yet-Ho Tom.
King signed the actual deed to buy her land on Jan. 24, 2005.
One of King’s granddaughters is named Sabrina King.
“Asian American” was misspelled as “Asian-American.” AsianWeek does not hyphenate “Asian American.”
King was officially named “Citizen of the Year” by the Walnut Grove Rotary Club in 1999.
Assemblyman Alan Nakanishi, Assemblywoman Judy Chu and Miguel Pulido were not “foot soldier(s)” in Rep. Mike Honda’s campaign for vice chair of the Democratic National Committee (“Behind the Headlines” in Capitol Watch, March 3).
In “Asian Commerce: On a Roll With APAs on Top at Kaiser” (Feb. 17), Gayle Tang’s title should be the national linguistic and cultural programs director, who reports to Vice President and Chief Diversity Officer Ronald Knox.
