Ecstasy for PSP
December 2, 2005
The PSP’s multimedia capabilities have made it one of the must-have toys of the year. I was ecstatic when I got one for my birthday. Besides listening to digital music, watching homemade videos and slideshows and playing games like Dynasty Warriors 5, I’ve been enjoying the wonderful world of UMD movies. And it’s not just the newest movies on UMD, they’re bringing back all the classics — and the anime universe is no exception.
Recently, I got my own copies of Ghost in the Shell, Blood: The Last Vampire and Ninja Scroll from Manga Video. I’m still looking to get Appleseed, Samurai Champloo and Tenjho Tenge, while desperately waiting for Miyazaki classics Spirited Away and Naussica. This is just the beginning of my own personal quest for anime UMDs. Never mind that I have them all on DVD already. The important thing is that now I can watch animated ninjas and robots flying all over my beautiful little PSP widescreen while I’m waiting in line at the market.
