Golfing in the Southland

The Chinese Golf Federation, consisting of Chinese golf clubs up and down the West Coast, is a wonderful network to meet many of its 2,000 members at tournaments throughout the year. Federation President Victor Wong at the popular Tucson tournament invited everyone to come to his Los Angeles Chinese Golf Club area as many of the members meet every week for the challenge of golf. Victor and brother Dick Wong welcomed husband Calvin and past Foon Hay Club President Ernie Wong to meet members at Mission Viejo G.C. on our recent trip to Southern California where we also enjoyed playing at Trump National Golf Club L.A. And Trump National has been fully refurbished after a few holes fell into the ocean during the storms of past years. I can think of nothing closer to heaven than playing alongside outstanding views of the Pacific Ocean at every hole.

Traveling further south, we met with San Diego Chinese Golf Club members Herb and Deanna Hom, Kim and Carol Lee, John Howo, Tom and Carolyn Hom, Russell Chan and Felix Hom to enjoy golfing in Chula Vista, followed by dinner at their favorite San Diego Chinese restaurant, Imperial Dynasty, for home-style Cantonese cuisine.
