LoveofAsianWomen.com recently published an electronic book called How to Date an Asian Woman.
It is written by a white man, Jeff Becker, his Asian wife, and another woman who chose to remain anonymous — by name and racial background.
A glance through the table of contents reveals the stereotypes that this e-book is founded on. According to the authors, there are 10 types of Asian women, ranging from “Little Orphan Girl” to “The Nurturer” and “Super Happy Sex Kitty.”
The authors suggest that one should have a thorough understanding of an Asian woman’s body and soul, culture, and religion.
This seems like good advice — except that the authors’ understanding is based on racist ideas. They paraphrase from a report done at The University of Western Ontario to validate their findings: “It was observed that the female genitals of Asians were placed very ‘front and high’ compared to other races. It was also noted that because they are anatomically smaller in general the vaginas of Asian women tend to be much smaller than those of Caucasian and African women. This front and high placement along with what would be a naturally tighter vagina might account for why sex with Asian women is rumored to be so pleasant.”
The authors advise that the Asian woman is looking for a man who is smart, honored by friends, and familiar with Buddhism, feng shui and karaoke. The white man must also understand that the Asian female mind is stimulated by “some sort of music, television or radio going (so that you are never at a loss for something to talk about).” He must know that Asian women love jewelry and karaoke, as well as being whispered to, have hands that are “maps of one’s health,” backs that are channels for chi, and bodies governed by seven energy centers called chakras.
While I wasn’t surprised by the approach these authors took (they’re writing about Asian fetishes), I was surprised that the authors know as much as they do. It‘s a reminder to those of us who want to counter stereotypes — we have to understand our own culture at least as well as the white male with an Asian fetish.
