Asian Improv aRts’ 20th Anniversary

‘One Way or Another’ Artist’s Talk

Shaolin Warriors Perform

EVENT: The Shaolin Warriors

DESCRIPTION: A choreographed theatrical production performed by the Buddhist monks of the Shaolin temple. The performance features many forms of Shaolin kung fu, as well as a look at the daily temple life of the monks and their Zen Buddhist philosophy.

Small Press Spotlight on Hellen Jo

EVENT: Cartoonist Hellen Jo at the Cartoon Art Museum

DESCRIPTION: San Francisco cartoonist and musician Hellen Jo self-published three issues of an autobiographical comic zine, komisches buch, and regularly contributed comics to the Asian American student publication hardboiled. She also created Paralysis, a full-length teenage horror story.
