Edison’s Losing Face

Master Face Reader: Edison’s Failure Destined
Edison Chen has deep lines under his eyes that cut across his cheekbones — this means that he has one great failure in his life,” said Joey Yap, Malaysia’s feng shui master extraordinaire and founder of the Mastery Academy of Chinese Metaphysics. “It gets worse because Edison’s BaZi shows that his actions are amplified a hundred times! He will need to be strong to recover from this huge mistake.” It might be too late for Chen — Yap, who visited San Francisco’s Miyako Hotel to deliver his “Good to Great in 2008” seminar, spotted a bounty on Chen’s head in Hong Kong recently. “There were flyers posted offering $250,000 for his head, and I suspect that it might be connected with the Triads.” Too bad Chen was cursed from the start.

Bush’s Face Doesn’t Lie
Yap says that when it comes to running the country, father really does know best. “President Bush, the father, has a bigger forehead, which means he is more intelligent. His son has a smaller forehead with many lines, which means he talks before he thinks. And he also has a bad combination of triangle-shaped eyes and thin lips, the signs of a liar.”

Bobby Lee Tells Dirty Jokes for Kids
Well, not really. But MADtv’s Bobby Lee will be participating in 826 Valencia’s sixth annual comedy night, “An Evening of a Thousand Scowls,” at Everett Middle School Auditorium on March 29, with Al Madrigal, Jonathan Coulton, TIG and Ian Edwards. 826 Valencia founder Dave Eggers promises that the “comedians tend to work blue (very blue),” but I hope this time Lee can just keep his pants on! Don’t worry: Most ticket holders will have the common sense not to bring their kids … or at least, we all hope. For ticket information: 826valencia.org.

‘Smallville’ Star Joins ‘Street Fighter: The Movie’
Kristen Kreuk, who plays Lana Lane in Smallville, has been selected to play everybody’s favorite high-kicking assassin in the new live-action movie based on the popular Capcom video game, Street Fighter — after fans and bloggers balked at the news last year that Blade: Trinity actress Jessica Biel would be reprising the character first played by Ming-Na Wen in 1994. Unlike the first Street Fighter movie, the upcoming film will follow the adventures of Chun-Li Zang. Capcom has confirmed that American Pie’s Chris Klein will star as Charlie Nash, and the Black Eyed Peas’ Taboo will play Vega.
