After an initial strong showing on America’s Next Top Model, Claire Unabia was booted last week following a bad case of “Competitive Overkill.” The usually levelheaded and serene Brooklynite morphed into a scary, aggressive force after landing in the bottom two the previous episode. Lauren was surprised at Claire’s triumphant yell after being saved from elimination: “Seems really disrespectful.” Stacey-Ann added, “Claire tries way too hard, and sometimes she’s over the top.” During the go-sees, Claire exercised her competitive muscle, saying, “You have to bring your personality in and rule that room.” She made an impression, no doubt, with her game of “Rapid-Fire 20 Questions” to the designer, who later said, “It’s important to show your personality, but you should be a little careful about that.” At the photo shoot, Claire disregarded Jay’s suggestion to not slide into the suspended clear Mylar and instead did a mean belly flop on her face. She managed to elude serious injury, but could not escape the comment that she delivered “one-note photos.”…

Come on, gravy. Those are nut huggers. You’re gonna get a yeast infection!” Greg’s transformation included a shadow of a mohawk and a lot of attitude: “Shut up, bitch.” Greg commented, “I love my new look. Oh my god, I feel hot with a ‘w.’ H-A-W-T.” …

This past week, pint-sized Ramiele Malubay of American Idol was asked to give her farewell song, “Do I Ever Cross Your Mind.” According to Simon, this Dolly Parton standard was “very reminiscent of something you would see and hear on a cruise ship.” Though her dream of being the first Asian American idol was dashed, she can sleep soundly knowing it was Dolly Parton who said, “The fact that she’s little ain’t gonna stop her from doing big things.”
