SAN JOSE, Calif. — The National Council of Asian American Business Associations and the United States Asian Business Council presented the first stop on the “Partnering for Success” multi-city tour May 2 at the Silicon Valley Capital Club.

The tour aims to unify the Asian American business community and serve as a forum to solve 21st-century issues affecting the Asian American community. Topics included access to capital, business gateways to Asia, technology, procurement, and going green with your business.

The tour is the brainchild of United States Asian Business Council managing director Jimmy Lee, and National Council of Asian American Business Associations executive director Jamie Borromeo. The two leaders met in Washington, D.C., in 2006 at a White  House conference when Lee served as commissioner to President George W.  Bush and Borromeo interned for Rep. Mike Honda.

The San Jose event was hosted by the Asian Business Association – Silicon Valley.

  1. It’s about time there is a national initiative to address our community’s business issues. Thank you to Jimmy Lee and Jamie Borromeo for their leadership in making this happen.
