While we were at war over Obama’s pastor, Texas destroyed a community of nearly 1,000 by “liberating” 463 healthy, well-behaved polygamist sect Mormon children (plus one newborn) from their families in Eldorado.
But the ACLU has said ”exposure to a religion’s beliefs, however unorthodox, is not itself abuse and may not constitutionally be labeled abuse.” Instead, the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services has condemned them to a foster care system with a track record of abuse problems.
The Houston Chronicle reported that mental health workers blasted DFPS for traumatizing children. Many were dismissed or threatened for being “too compassionate.” Instead of finding and arresting guilty abusers, they arrested the kids. The only proven abuse these kids have suffered is at the hands of the DFPS.
Asians, Sikhs and Muslims, who have long been persecuted for looking, talking, dressing and acting funny, should be alarmed. Nobody stood up for the Japanese when the federal government took them away. Few have heard about Australia’s “stolen generation” of aborigine children taken from their parents.
The “Asian hillbilly” Hmong are already under fire in America for polygamy and marrying children, not to mention “marriage by capture.” Many Muslim nations still practice the selling of girls as brides. Most weddings in India are still arranged, while some Vietnamese wedding traditions have origins in guarding against escape of an unwilling bride.
If the United Nations ran under Texas DFPS cowboy rules, helicopters and tanks would be hunting down every pregnant teen, and then snatching every at-risk child in every politically incorrect culture and religion in every jungle across the globe.
Contact your local Asian civil rights organization today, and ask them to demand a stop to the witch hunt and an immediate return of all the children and restoring of the basic rights of these families.
