Ethnicity: South African-born Indian American
Early years: I immigrated to the United States with my family when I was 12, so I have had the best of both worlds in South Africa and here in the great USA.
If you could have dinner with any famous Asian American, who would it be and why?: Kristi Yamaguchi. She is an exceptional sportsman with sincere dedication and talent. She has also brought gold back from the Olympics, and yet still remains humble and motivated to always strive for something better and bigger.
Favorite Asian food: Nothing beats my mother’s delicious Indian cooking. Besides that, I enjoy Thai food.
Who do you admire most?: My mother, who is a true example of an exceptional human being. She is sincere, dedicated, motivated, successful, spiritual, yet humble and kind. She radiates beauty from within, and I would consider myself successful if I could be half the person she is in this lifetime.
