Kristie Ahn - Youngest Qualifying Player at the U.S. Open

16-year-old Kristie Ahn lost to Dinara Safina of Russia 3-6, 4-6 during the first round of the US Open in Flushing, New York. Ahn was the youngest competitor in the main draw of singles at the US Open. Ahn won all six sets of the 3 matches in the qualifying tournament.
