What is your name and where did it come from? Kapono means ‘righteousness’ in Hawaiian, Roque means Rocky in Filipino and Kobylanski is a surname from the Polish city, Kobylany.
Born and raised: Honolulu, HI
Ethnicity: 25% Filipino, 25% Hawaiian, 25% Polish, 25% mixed Chinese, Portuguese, Irish, English, Scottish, Spanish and American Indian.
Claim to fame: Mr. Philippines USA ’08 – ’09
School: Kamehameha Schools, University of La Verne
What are your plans for the future? Be the BEST dad and husband ever! Be very accomplished, happy, and
successful!
What is your favorite Asian food? I love all food!
What is your favorite activity or hobby? Spending time with family and friends!
Describe an exciting night out. Spending time with the ones you love, and no matter what you’re doing, everyone is enjoying the night!
If you could have dinner with any famous Asian American, who would it be and why? I would like to have dinner with all famous Asian Americans. I would love to learn all about there claim to fame, and how they overcame any/all adversity to get to where they got.  I’m a people person, I guarantee conversations will flow the night away!
Favorite travel destination: Honolulu. It’s my home, and it’s truly paradise!
What super power would you like to posses? I would like to fly, then I could fly everywhere and anywhere!
If you can say one thing that you are good or talented at, what would it be? I try to be good at everything!
Something people would not know just by looking at you: I love children! My passion in life is working with children, but I’m old-fashioned, so the path I took was to be able to be the provider of my family.
Quality you most admire in a woman? Confidence
Quality you most admire in a man? I don’t swing that way, sorry ☺
Who do you admire most and why? God and my parents because they raised me to be who I am.
When did you know your parents were proud of you? The second I was born!
One cultural tradition that you grew up with you would like to pass on to your kids? Too many to list. A value I will pass on definitely, love everyone!
