Sorry to ruin your victory. McCain has show me some respect on his campaign and integrity like admonishing that woman who called Obama an Arab, but mark my word Obama will win and be our next US President.
We do realize that McCain is the same man who said “I hate GOOKS,” and “I will hate them for as long as I live.” back in 2000.
Dear Don,
Thank you for your comments. You have failed to acknowledge the things that Rev Wright has said about America and the many many nasty things said about Sarah Palin. What did nobama do? Just sat there and accepted it.
What about the khalidi tape that the LA Times refuses to release? There were many nasty things said about our country which included a poem. You must be getting your news from the mainstream liberal media.
Country First.
Mike,
No doubt gooks is an offensive word. I would definitely be offended if it were said to me. However, you also fail to see the context that he was putting in. While serving our country so that you and I can enjoy our freedoms, he was held captive. He was referring to his captives as gooks. You and I are not gooks so no need to feel offended. You have to put it in context. Don’t think obama is the greatest thing on earth. He let’s his surrogates make nasty comments and condones them. Hope you will change your mind.
Country First.
But also notable that this “paper” published a piece entitled “Why I Hate Blacks”. Now let’s suppose a positive spin on AW’s thinking was that we can’t just talk it out and reach an understanding unless we air it out first, right?
I can’t believe that I am seeing asian’s protecting mccain on his use of the word gook. For example, lets use the word “nigger” and put it in the same sentence. “I hate niggers and I will hate them for as long as i live.” Now even if he was referring to Africans who tortured him as p.o.w… I ask you all, would he ever be accepted by the black community? I don’t think so. I just can’t vote for a person who openly uses racial slurs, in my book that’s not presidential behavior and even if he were tortured, id expect him to be the bigger man and use this as a chance to show America what a tolerant strong person he could’ve proven to be. I see him as unfit for leadership because he holds grudges toward one particular group. I don’t want a president that holds the actions of a few against a whole nation. His usage of the word gook was unnecessary; he didn’t need to use it in order to describe the viet congs. I wish asians would care more about combating racist remarks against us rather than sympathizing with the racists. I know im not a gook but the viet congs are asian too, just like us, and to the majority of white conservatives, we’re all the same to them, they don’t know the difference between a Persian or Afghani, Muslim or Terrorist, Mexican American or illegal immigrant, so what makes you mccain sympathizers think they will know the difference between a gook or an Asian American.
For all the he said this and that. I said alot of bad things about my wife, but I don’t hate her. I don’t say much about roaches, but I hate it, so I just step on it. Your real enemies, are the one’s who don’t say anything. They don’t want to change you, they just want to kill you.
i think mccain would be the kind of guy
i wouldn’t mind having a beer with…but
then again i think that about bush jr. too.
i’m staying sober this time around.
look at those morons! LOLLLLLLLL
Joe
It’s irrelavant now that Barack Obama has won and he will be the next US President. Now we have to convince the conservative Asians who voted for McCain to embrace Obama as a unifiying leader and an example of a minority in America to perservere through challenges in his journey to achieve the highest office in America. I voted for him and he inspires me to do better.
