Master Chef Ko demonstrated the making of two-toned dumplings and 1,000-layer pancakes and attendees tried their hand at them as well. Cookbook author Shirley Fong Torres spoke about her latest cookbook, The Woman Who Ate Chinatown, A San Francisco Odyssey and signed autographs.

Hank Quock, a longtime member of the association, entertained the audience by performing both parts of the Diana Ross and Lionel Richie classic “Endless Love.”

The Association was founded in 1983 by a group of cooking teachers who wanted to share ideas and expertise about Chinese food and cooking methods. Their membership currently includes restaurateurs, chefs, caterers, cooking instructors, food writers, cookbook authors and culinary educators, as well as people who enjoy cooking Asian food and love gourmet dining.
