The threatened closure of 220 state parks, including Angel Island State Park, home of the historic U.S. Immigration Station, is now in the hands of the California Legislature. Please contact your local Assembly Member and State Senator and let them know that you support funding the state parks through the State Parks Access Pass, which adds $15 to your bill when you register your car. This surcharge will generate $420 million annually, enough to keep all the parks open.
The easiest way to send a message to the legislators is to visit www.calparks.org/takeaction. Please tell your representative to keep the Angel Island State Park open. The Legislature will vote this week on the Access Pass, so send your message ASAP.
