Wilma Pang
To celebrate the Year of the Dragon, City College of San Francisco Professor Wilma Pang, will be singing segments of a traditional Cantonese Opera during her cultural show on Ding Ding TV on Thursday, Feb. 16, to be aired on digital channel 38 or Comcast channel 172 at 7:30 p.m.
Pang will perform songs from “Yiu Long Xi Feng,” the story of an emperor who meets and falls in love with an ordinary maiden in the Eastern part of China during the Ming Dynasty. She will also discuss the history of the opera with viewers.
Pang is a regular guest of Ding Ding TV – the first Chinese-language internet television station in the Silicon Valley. She has been co-hosting a cultural show in mandarin once a month for the last two years. Her shows air the third Thursdays every month on Channel 38 (digital) and Channel 172 on Comcast.
