MOSAIC: AHSC Artist Preview Show Set for April 20th

The 8th Annual Asian Heritage Street Celebration is proud to bring back its Artist Preview Show to showcase a diverse group of Asian American talent. Held on Friday, April 20 at the illustrious 111 Minna Gallery, 111 Minna Street, from 6-9PM, MOSAIC promises to be an incredible night of performances, art displays, music, and local food and drinks.

Great local talents are lined up such as Johnny Hi-Fi, who has been touring in the US and Asia for ten years. Their alternative rock sound has garnered numerous amounts of attention from worldwide fans and distinguished music outlets such as the Billboards and MTV. However not all talents are bands, like Joseph Harris (“YoYoJoe”), who has wowed audiences with his tricks on TV shows like “Wanna Bet?” and “America’s Got Talent” and who will also be performing at the event.

Furthermore, MOSAIC will feature still art from a few local artists such as the works of Akira Beard, whose mission is to make a positive contribution to the community. The artist uses his sometimes shocking pieces to make social statements on issues such as homelessness and discrimination. Meanwhile, Joon Park, considered as a pop surrealist and low brow artist, manages to evoke passion in his work as well as incorporate a sarcastic humor.

Partnered with many other great organizations such as KollaborationSF, RAMA, vivesf, AsianWeek, Hyphen Magazine and many others, MOSAIC is guaranteed to be an amazing night that will create a representative picture of communities, performers, and like-minded individuals coming together for one purpose.
