The 2013 Annual Plate by Plate food and wine event presented by Project by Project SF (PbP SF) took place Sept. 14 at the beautiful City View inside the Metreon in San Francisco. Hundreds showed up in support of the charity event that offered a large array of food from 30 acclaimed restaurants including Campton Place, Farallon, and Socola Chocolatier to name a few, as well as a large selection of beverages that included Boutique Sake, Peju Province Winery, Bombay Sapphire, Asahi Breweries, ZICO, and many more. Guests also enjoyed background music from a DJ spinning the turntables, a photo booth to take home memories, and an amazing silent auction.
Proceeds from the event benefited PbP SF’s 2013 partner – Kearny Street Workshop (KSW). Founded in 1972, KSW is the oldest Asian Pacific American multidisciplinary arts organization in the country and offers workshops, performances, and exhibits in visual art, literature, music, performance, film, and new media. KSW is committed to their mission of producing and promoting art that empowers Asian American and Pacific Islander communities. KSW provides a range of classes and workshops, salons and student presentations, as well as professionally curated and produced exhibitions, performances, readings, and screenings.
Speakers at the event included KSW’s Executive Director Claire, President of the Board of Supervisors David Chiu and PbP SF’s 2013 President Chris Liu. On behalf of California State Senator Leland Yee, Stephanie Ng presented the two with special certificates of recognition for the evening.
After the event, guests were invited to an after party at Drake SF.
