AsianWeek Political Columnist Samson Wong Holds 3rd Annual “Potstickers” Golden Potsticker Eating Contest and Reception on Thursday, Oct. 24 at Drake Bar and Lounge -


A reception to honor the quality coverage and empowerment of Asian Americans by a veteran political columnist will take place on Thursday, October 24, from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Drake Bar and Lounge in San Francisco. The potstickers eating contest is part of reception to support Samson Wong’s weekly special recipe on AsianWeek.com.


Potstickers by Samson Wong first appeared in 1996 and has since provided extensive political coverage of Asians in San Francisco politics. With more than 600 columns, Potstickers has garnered recognition and awards from California Assembly and Senate, SF Office of Mayor, New American Media, SF League of Women Voters, Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Discrimination, SF Organization of Chinese Americans, SF Bay Area Publicity Club, Chinese Real Estate Association of America, San Francisco Planning and Urban Research and Asian Pacific Democratic Club.
